Orchids

The gift I gave was the project I have been working on. I made note cards out of pictures I've taken. Bought 5 x 7 card stock and picked 20 pictures of local flora and fauna to print on each one. How does that tie into my physics major? Easy. Everything is physics. But for fun, I also printed, at the bottom on the back of the card, an equation that fitted the picture on the front: albedo for a picture of hoar frost, lift for a picture of a bird, etc. I couldn't resist a couple of inside jokes: the formula that predicts a nuclear mushroom cloud was on the back of a picture of a morel and the quantum equation for translational movement on the back of a picture of a Woolly Bear caterpillar.
