Daisy is new to the milking gig. She had her first calf about two months ago. She likes the milking machine but hops from foot to foot, dances around, and kicks during the prep work. So we try to make sure she is sandwiched in between two more mature calm cows. I was in the holding area, trying to maneuver Daisy around this morning when she stepped on my foot. Cows weigh almost a ton and my rubber wellies don't offer much protection. Just add sore foot to the list of my other injuries.

How well I remember those days.
Your ex dairy farmer neighbor.
I remember how mad Russ got one time when I saw a cow step on his foot! No kidding, he actually lifted the back end of the cow up and off his foot in one swift painful move.
