Fall color

One of the cows fell as she came into the parlor this morning. It happens occassionally. However, she couldn't seem to get back up inside the neck stanchion. Cows are resourceful creatures and she did what she considered the next best thing - she crawled out under the stanchion. Now a cow crawling on the ground isn't terribly graceful but they are more limber than I give them credit for. Once she had scooted out onto the return alley, she stood, gave herself a little shake and waited for us to open a gate so she could rejoin the cows in the waiting area. Her little ordeal didn't appear to phase her - she worked her way into the next group of cows into the parlor.
