There was a frost at the end of August but last night we had a "killing freeze". At least that is what the weather report called it. I've decided the adjective "killing" must mean there is something to kill - like all of the grasses, flowers, veggies, etc. Therefore, we only have one "killing freeze" a season which is the first time the temps reach down to the 20's (I think the 30's are still considered just a frost). But maybe instead the forecast just calls it a "killing freeze" to give us a little scare - in time for Halloween.

I'm thinking of putting one of these in my back yard to replace the tree I transplanted from the front to the back earlier this summer. Carolyn
