Soybeans

Wind warnings last night and today. When I arrived for work, the electricity had just been restored - the wind had taken out a couple of electrical lines during the night. On the walk this afternoon, I wondered if birds would be flying in the 40+ knot gusts. Do birds just stick out their feet and grab a branch as they whiz by in the wind? Nope. Watched a little bird being swept along w/ the wind execute a tight 180 to turn into the wind and stall out right on a twig. I noticed other birds using the wind to their advantage too. I suppose, though, they've had plenty of practice.
