Tried a new church - one of the larger churches that doesn't have a denomination in it's name, just a woodsy name. I could live w/ the band that started the service. They didn't sing hymns but the songs weren't 7-11 either. I like hard rock so the sound waves bouncing off my sternum were OK too. Not conducive to conventional congregational singing though. Even might get used to the announcement of an upcoming baptism referred to as a "dunkfest" in the church bulletin. Sermon kept me engaged. However, what the pastor said in her sermon was way too Calvinistic to even be biblical. Afterwards in the car, my friend Nancy readily agreed we can check off that church and look for another.
