Sharp-lobed Hepatica

Walked through the forest today and was surprised to see hepatica already. Hepatica bloom in lots of different pastel colors - I found lavender, blue, and white ones growing right next to each other. Technically they aren't spring ephemera - I can find their leaves all year long. But like those other flowers, they take advantage of the rich soil and lack of overhead canopy to bloom now. Must mean spring has actually sprung.
