Hooded Mergansers

My sister e-mailed that she was making chili. Great minds think alike since I was planning chili for the day. Then received another e-mail that changed my plans and I put off making chili until today. My recipe is very straight forward. Two cans of diced tomatoes and one can of kidney beans in the crock pot along with fried hamburger and chopped onions. Two tablespoons of chili powder, one of cumin, a little oregano, dried mustard, chocolate, and pepper. Give it all a stir and taste. Adjust as necessary and let the crock pot do it's thing for a couple of hours. I'm off to breakfast and then church. By the time I get home - should be ready.

Sounds really gooooood! Cumin gives it a good "Pop"!
Our leftover chili is going on top of spaghetti, today!
